Border Collie x German Shepherd mix Noki

Noki - Border Collie German Shepherd mix

Our Noki looks like a small black German Shepherd, big erect ears, with some white on her chest and on her left paws.

She loves people, herding (we attend herding school and at home she herds our two indoor cats - if they run out the door she runs around them and stops them), agility, frisbees, balls and tools (showels, spades, rakes, brooms etc - she always wants to "help" us and it's sometimes a bit annoying). She also loves sauna and swimming.

We live in Finland and she is a typical Finn - first in the sauna (opens the door with the handle) - she sits with us, although we try to tell her to go lower and when we go swimming she's first in and herds us until the last one is up from the lake... She loves playing with us through the mirror - she watches us in the mirror and when we move our hands she turns around and gives us a kiss.

Noki is 49 lbs and sheds twice / year for a couple of weeks. Her fur is thick and soft.

If you didn't know German Shepherds have the vocabulary of a seven year old. I found that very interesting when I heard that.

Also, I am on the internet sometimes just to look up pictures of German Shepherd, Border Collie and lab mixes just to see if I can find anything that looks like my dog Caper, she is four currently, and I saw this picture and clicked on it and it brought me to this website, I'm favourite-ing this website! I love it!

Noki now has a male buddy - a white BCxGSD mix male and they made an accident litter last May and got 7 wonderful puppies. 4 of these look like BC:s and 3 like German Shepherd dogs, with the "wrong" colouring, as they have white feet. ;-) All have found wonderful homes.

I think she is a lab/GSD/collie mix, but there must be another breed because she has very short legs.

She is very energetic, loves to play fetch and is very obedient.

Her name is Keisha. We adopted her and they have no idea what breed she is.

Seamus is just like your Noki

Hello! There are many "twins" to your dog around the world, it seems!

Our dog Seamus was an only pup out of a border collie dam and a German Shepherd stud. He is pretty much identical to your pup except that his paws are all black and his white chest marking is a little smaller.

He is a mischievous and VERY active dog--fitting in well with our family of 4 kids and 3 cats. We live in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. I would post a pic if I could, because it's uncanny how identical the two dogs are!

My Mix is Long Hair

My dog Max looks like yours except he has long hair and a curly tail.

We found him as a puppy, someone had dropped him off on a country road, under bridge, he jump in my husband's arms.

He is so smart, he sits on my feet if anyone approaches us.

A Stroke Of Luck

My husband found and brought home a little black puppy two days ago and I instantly fell in love with her. Her name is Stormy.

I couldn't figure out what kind of dog she was. German Shepherd kept jumping out at me. But I knew she wasn't pure. I kept looking at her today while cooking and it hit me!

Godsend

Tomorrow I pick up my border collie/shepard mix at the SPCA. His new name is Raja (he's been both Rex and Klondike in his young life...he's only 9 months old).

He looks exactly like your dog. So cool!!

He is also a Godsend. I had to let go of a 14 year old lab and 13 year old Shepherd only last Tuesday. It was their time.

So, today I found myself in the shelter and Raja and I begin our journey tomorrow.

So glad to see that all your dogs with this unique blend look like my newest addition.

Wow my Pepper looks exactly the same as Noki! It is so exciting to see :) :)

Pepper is just over 1 year old now. She has white throat, chest and paws. So cute! She is the sweetest happiest lovely dog ever and I use to be a cat person!!

She swam for the first time ever yesterday and after half an hour was calmly swimming around and absolutely loving it! We felt like proud parents hehe. This is so nice to see that other people have pets just like Pepper :)

I found my dog, Luna, through the Houston Texas Humane Society. She looks absolutely identical to this dog. She just turned 2 in July and weighs about 50 lbs.

We did a DNA test on her back when she was a pup and it came back saying she was mostly German Shorthaired Pointer, Chow, and Border Collie. The Border Collie coloring is evident, however her personality and ears are definitely more German Shepherd (in my opinion).

She's the most intelligent and observant dog I've ever owned. Definitely unique, but it's crazy to see how many others around the world have a similar mix!

OH MY GOSH

OK, so this looks exactly like my dog Daisy. She has the same exact fur pattern on her chest, no lie. Like the white shape is the same on her. I love these dogs because they are caring and very pretty.

Oh and my dog Daisy herds us too. When we r going outside, she will like nip at our ankles until we get outside. It doesn't hurt though but still. And she is really smart because border collies are the first smartest dogs in the world and German Shepherds are like the fifth or something like that.

I think they are the cutest puppies too.

My puppy looks like your Noki. Sasha (my puppy) is 8 months old and has similar markings, the white chest and feet, except all Sasha's feet are white.
