My Eva (pronounced Ava) was/is a picky eater. The trick for her is to exercise her as much as possible. Also do the take the food away after 10 mins or when stopped eating.

Eva is more a night time feeder, so we feed her as soon as we get home and then exercise (long walk, not run) then another feed.

Eva is 12 months old, 63 cm at withers, and 32 kg. Not big, not small, just right.

A big GSD is not always a good GSD.
