Your dog needs enzymes
by: Anonymous

If the diagnosis is correct, you need enzyme supplements in your dog's food or he will not live long. You can get the enzyme powder from your vet.

May be Pancreitis

My GSD is also underweight and has been since he was a puppy. Found out he suffers from absorbtion issues and pancreitis.

I started feeding him a bland food - low fat and protein. Taste of the Wild seafood and he's been gaining weight.

Good luck.

I understand your concern as a pet owner, who loves their pet & wants the best options for them.

One of the best things you can do for your pet is take them to the vet, or even possibly a breeder whose quite knowledgeable, and figure out the cause of the weight loss. Afterwards you can determine the best possible medication (prescription, or home remedies - I haven't tried the 2nd option myself, but I won't doubt that some cures can be effective) and regiment for your pup.

Best of luck to both of you!
