My sweet NoNo

My sweet NoNo

This is dedicated to my beautiful German Shepherd, Nola.

She came to me via a friend of mine who worked at the animal shelter.

She was six years old at the time and was a beautiful and devoted German Shepherd to me. She watched over me, let me cry into her fur, ran and chased the squirrels in my back yard, ran as fast as the wind at times!!!

We had long walks together. How she loved to walk!

It has been four years and she has become my child.

I can no longer watch her as she tries to drag herself to get up. She has severe lumbosacral arthritis and is in constant pain. I do not want to let her go, but, I refuse to see her in pain.

To my Nola or NoNo as I called you most times… you will always be in my heart. I will miss you so very, very, much my sweet girl. I will be holding you in my lap and letting you know how much I love you and will kiss your nose one last time before you cross over.

Please, sweet girl, wait for me when my time on this earth is over. Know that you were and always be loved and forever in my heart.

God speed my NoNo.........

Love,
Momma

Thank you Emely. She crossed over on 8-18-2014.

I have never lost a child, but, it feels as though I have now. At times, I catch myself calling my other dog NoNo.

She can never be replaced, but, we have good and beautiful memories of her.

Sad but good at the same time

Hi. =-) I read your page, and I am sorry to hear that your little girl nola or nono has a medical issue that there`s no cure for =-(. I have a sweet little girl too, her name is Marlie, and she`s so loyal to my little family, smart and senses things that you would never thought a dog could know.

It must be hard to let go of a pet that has been nothing but wonderful into your life. Many blessing to your little girl, and she`ll be happy with whatever decision you make as she knows you love her and know that you would choose the best thing that would make her happy.

Bless you. =-)
