Princess

Princess was a Shepherd Boxer mix. We had her put to sleep on January 13th, 2015 at the age of 16.

She was the most loyal loving and wonderful dog. She was very protective and loved our 2 girls. She was smart and listened well to commands. She used to stare at us when we talked, so we had spell certain words so she wouldn't know what we were saying.

We got her from an animal rescue league shelter at 8 weeks of age and she lived with us for 16 years. She was such a member of our family. She was just like my child. I didn't want to put her to sleep, but she was suffering in pain from kidney disease, and she couldn't stand up anymore.

When she wouldn't eat or drink I knew it was time for the final trip to the veterinarian. I carried her into the vet's office. I waited in the room with her until the vet came in and told my wife and I that it would be the best thing for her to to be put to sleep. We rubbed her head as the vet put the needle in her twice and she went to sleep for good.

I miss her so much, but it was the right thing to do. I couldn't see her in pain.

RIP Princess you were the best dog in the world. Hope to see you someday at the Rainbow Bridge.

Love,
Mom, Dad, Kate and Sarah
