Roo - Runt of the German Shepherd litter

Roo - Runt of the German Shepherd litter

We got Roo when he was 15 weeks (DOB 6/6/10), he weighed 33 lbs. He was the last puppy of the litter to be homed, bi-colored male, with a dash of white in his withers. He's not a show dog, has a lazy sit but from CKC registered parents.

We feed him the same brand of dry dog food the breeder used (performatrin), but supplemented it with Chicken (Breast, & Liver), Eggs, Skin Milk, & lean ground beef. On average he consumes 4 cups of dried food, and 2 cups of meat.

Exercise is about 5 to 6 kms of walking per weekday, with probably 9 to 11 on the weekends.

Right now he's around 76 lbs, quite active, with a pleasant temperament.

It's a choke collar... It is for obedience training. It doesn't hurt the dog it just corrects them when they disobey. You need them for big dogs... It's not cruel... And anyone who loves their dog will train their dog. But to each their own.

Anyone who knows anything about training a dog knows what that is and it doesn't hurt the dog. My three month old GSD wears one. Your dog is beautiful and don't listen to people that don't know what they are talking about.

Why?

Beautiful looking dog... but WHAT is that around his neck? Looks like a metal collar.

Why would someone who loves their dog do that?
