Lots of space needed...
by: Scott

Now at seven months, Sammi is pushing 70 pounds. She is very healthy, and her development has been closely monitored by our family vet. All is going well, I'm pleased to report!

One of the things I've noticed lately is that her chest has become so very deep. Once she starts filling out, she's going to be big as a barrel! It's a good thing because her heart is so big and generous that she'll need all that space to hold it!

She has become such a loving, soothing, intuitive girl, that all the people we are now involved with at the Delta Society feel she will be one of the rare 1 year olds that passes the Therapy Dog testing on the first try!

We have lost a loved one to cancer, and have had others recover. We have been comforted and blessed by God, and now it seems He has given us the opportunity to pay it back by giving us Sammi to comfort others in need.

Our Sammi is certainly up to the task!

My family has a German Shepherd, who was the runt of his litter. He topped out at 120 during his prime.

The vet was not worried about his weight, it was simply his size. We have heard of other runts ending up being bigger than their litter mates as well.
